Within Cuba all flight are by Cuban airlines. Cubana de Aviacion is the best known, though some smaller companies exist.

Santiago tourism is mostly oriented towards Canadian tourists.

There are therefore comparatively more flights in from there.

Few direct flights are available from Europe. Holguin has more incoming flights from Europe and will therefore be a better bet to get a good deal to "Oriente" from Europe.
